Sessions

In the therapy world, we say, “To change fast, go slow.” Trauma, stress, and overwhelm moves through the body when it has the space and safety to be attuned to, trusted/honored, and expressed/released, requiring pacing and reverence, supported by therapeutic containment with the therapist as an anchor. This process is supported through following the core principles of Somatic Experiencing by Dr. Peter Levine: resourcing, titration, and pendulation. We first cultivate safety through resourcing, accessing internal or external sources of strength or calm. From this felt sense of safety and capacity, we utilize titration to process trauma gradually in small, manageable fragments and pendulation to rhythmically move between states of activation and calm (resources) to avoid overwhelming the nervous system.

I believe this work can be further supported with more spaciousness within a session than the typical 52 minute session, so I also offer 82 minute sessions for individuals (82 minutes is standard for couples). 82 minute sessions give more time for building somatic awareness and resources, exploration through creative modalities, and meaning-making to integrate into the following week or two between sessions. The amount of time that is the most supportive will vary from person to person, so notice and honor what feels good and sustainable to you, and we can always adjust. I also offer therapy intensives that start at 3 hours that you can read more about:

A note on practicing as a liberation-oriented therapist within a capitalist system:

I hold this work with an awareness of the larger systems it exists within. My values are rooted in reciprocity, interdependence, and community care, and I aim to embody those in both my personal and professional life. At the same time, I practice within structures that require therapy to be a paid service, shaped by professional ethics, legal boundaries, and broader economic realities. I strive to navigate this tension with care and integrity.

Within this framework, offering a sliding scale, is one way I work toward balancing sustainability, accessibility, and shared responsibility. Those with more financial flexibility help make it possible for me to offer lower-cost sessions to others. I want our work together to feel fair, sustainable, and aligned for both of us.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill and cost for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate,  visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at  303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.

Investment

a tunnel of trees in the middle of a forest

Therapy is an investment in your well-being, growth, and long-term quality of life. The cost reflects dedicated time, professional training, and a personalized space to help you build insight, resilience, and meaningful change. Choosing therapy is choosing to invest in yourself and/or your relationship.

I am an out-of-network provider, but I am happy to provide super bills for reimbursement.
